Gemma Lambert six times nail competition winner joins the United Beauty team

United Beauty is delighted to welcome Gemma Lambert to the team. With an impressive portfolio and a wealth of experience in the industry, United Beauty is confident that Gemma will be an invaluable addition to the already strong team of regional trainers. Gemma’s new and exciting role will be as an educator, focusing not only on beginners but on advanced nail techniques, competition workshops and seminars. Gemma is part of United Beauty’s plan to move forward and offer more insalon training via satellite assessment centres.

Gemma’s skill and diversity is evident in the fact she holds six first place titles in a range of categories including Fantasy Nail Art, Sculptured Acrylic, Tip and Overlay. In her career so far, Gemma can boast that in twenty-three competitions across the country, she has never been placed any lower than fourth place. Gemma recognises how lucky she has been to work with some of the industry’s finest. It was Antony Buckley of the EzFlow Masters who encouraged her to compete in the Professional Beauty “Virgins” competition (now known as “New Comers”) in 2001 where she beat her competition, finishing a huge eighty-six points ahead of second place! “This was the moment that I realised that I could really do this, it was the confidence boost that I needed”.

Gemma’s action packed career has seen her own and run her own successful nail bar, she has competed in Las Vegas, met her idol Jackie Jefford, not to mention prepped and preened the nails of the world’s beautiful at London’s fashion week for designers; House of Holland and Vivienne Westwood. It’s a wonder her feet are still on the ground. When asked how she feels about coming to work for United Beauty, she answered; “I’m so excited, I love it so far, everyone has been so lovely and welcoming and right now I have the joy of stocking up my car boot with all my free
products, I can’t wait to get home and have a play with them!”

And what else does she hope to achieve? “A front cover would be nice, definitely more first places in competitions, and I’d especially love to win Nail Technician of the Year!”
